International Women’s Day 2021

International Women’s Day has been celebrated since the 1900s and it draws attention to accelerate gender parity globally. Purple is taken as a colour to mark International Women’s Day celebrations. The significance of International Women’s Day is different for different people, but the global focus on equality and celebration is the same.

Women have stepped forward to lead and take action towards what they rightly believe in, striving for a better tomorrow. Be it through bold well-documented action or through humble resistance that never made it into the history books, women have always united for equality and achievement forever. International Women’s Day is of utmost significance where women are still forced to deal with inequality regularly despite being talented.

International Women’s day is meant to raise awareness of the challenges and struggles faced by these women. International Women’s Day celebrates women’s history, showcasing key events, milestones, and achievements, and aims to further promote and raise awareness of women’s rights and to achieve equal opportunity status in all walks of life.

Nobody can deny that we owe an enormous amount to the women in our lives, from the mothers who made us soup when we were sick as children, to the siblings who helped us choose an attire on our first date, to the wives who manage to juggle both a career and a family. International Women’s Day is all about celebrating these incredible people and showing them how much they mean to us.

International Women’s Day gives a chance to reflect on progress made so far, to seek change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by o women who have played an enormous role in contributing towards the history of their countries and communities. A woman is an epitome of strength, resilience, and beauty. A woman’s existence should be celebrated every single day. In order to mark her contributions we have International Women’s Day dedicated to her.

Since the Covid-19 lockdown many women are working at home and also working from home. This lockdown has taught the world that leadership diversity and styles can make a difference. When most women are in positions of hierarchy more informed decisions are made, different opinions are considered and different solutions are created.

‘Choose To Challenge’,is the International women’s day theme this year. The theme means that every individual is accountable for their own actions and thoughts. The theme, further states that from challenge comes change. One can put an end to gender bias and inequality. Whether it is work or personal life, celebrating women is a sense of obligation to every woman in one’s life.

International Women’s Day is all about recognizing self-worth and achieving the goals as per the potential. International Women’s Day is a day to reflect on achievements so far, to strive towards betterment, and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by women, who have played an extraordinary role in shaping the history of their countries and communities.
